About the Role
As Maintenance Technician, you will be joining the 24/7 shift maintenance team and play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of production and utility systems at their sites in Leiden and Sassenheim. You will respond to mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation failures across biotechnological production systems, laboratories, and utility systems, all while maintaining strict safety and GMP compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to equipment and utility failures (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation).
  • Prioritize and execute repairs safely and efficiently, adhering to strict GMP and safety compliance standards.
  • Operate and monitor utility systems to ensure continuous manufacturing support in a 24/7 shift environment.
  • Collaborate with fellow technicians, utility operators, maintenance engineers, and external service providers.
  • Support preventive maintenance tasks and contribute to ongoing project activities.
  • Work as part of a fixed shift team (3-4-3 schedule) consisting of 4–5 people, including utility operators and Technicians.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • MBO 4 (or equivalent vocational/trade certification) in instrumentation, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a technician or in a similar technical role (breakdown technician experience is a plus).
  • Experience in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment
  • Valid Category B driver’s license.
  • Certified in VCA and NEN 3140, (or equivalent EHS and electrical safety training )
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical malfunctions.
  • Fluency in Dutch is required.
