The Client 
Our client is specialized in the research, development, and production of biologic medicines. The company focuses on innovative therapies for autoimmune diseases, oncology, and infectious diseases.

The Role 
As a HVAC engineer you'll be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the  HVAC systems essential for Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliance in pharmaceutical manufacturing. Your role is to ensure these systems operate smoothly, efficiently, and meet regulatory and safety standards. You’ll manage both day-to-day operations and long-term improvements, working closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Work with maintenance and engineering teams to plan long-term investments and manage CAPEX budgets.
  • Present investment plans in budget meetings with input from the Business System Owner (BSO).
  • Help with the Management of Change (MoC) process during design, setup, and qualification, making sure proposed changes are backed by data.
  • Assist the BSO with installing systems to make sure they are reliable and meet quality standards.
  • Identify and carry out necessary actions in your area of expertise when needed.
  • Support engineering projects and help ensure HVAC, BMS, and EMS systems are ready for use and comply with GMP during the project handover.
  • Ensure systems follow regulatory requirements, including GMP, EHS, FIN, and Manufacturing Asset Management standards. 
Requirements
  • HBO work and thinking level, preferably with a technical background.

  • At least 2 years of experience in a highly regulated (pharmaceutical/GMP) industry, with expertise in GMP systems and requirements.

  • Expertise with WDI/WFI, HVAC systems, and their control strategies (BMS is a primary requirement for HVAC).

  • Expert in reading and editing P&IDs, with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in English, and knowledge of SAP PM or other CCMS systems is a plus.
