About the Position
We are seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer to play a vital role in developing custom test and production equipment for the medical domain. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, high-tech environment where software, hardware, and engineering excellence come together. You will join a multi-disciplinary team of experts to design, implement, and integrate control software for complex mechatronic systems used in the healthcare industry.
Responsibilities
-Collaborate with system architects and cross-functional teams to design and implement machine control software.
-Contribute to the development of functional specifications and technical concepts for customized equipment.
-Program and maintain software in alignment with the overall architecture and performance requirements.
-Support software integration and commissioning activities during system development and installation.
-Drive continuous improvement of the software development lifecycle and tooling.
-Serve as a third-line expert for software maintenance and support throughout the equipment lifecycle.
-Ensure alignment with electrical, mechanical, and data system requirements.
-Follow industry standards and regulatory guidelines related to medical production systems.
Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or a related technical field.
-Strong background in machine control software and platforms such as Cordis Suite or Beckhoff PLC.
-Experience with TyTrol, LabVIEW, and C# is a plus.
-Familiarity with model-based software design (e.g., UML).
-Knowledge of regulatory standards in the healthcare manufacturing space is highly desirable.
-Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
-Willingness to travel up to 25% and work on-site at customer locations when needed.
-Proficient in English and eager to learn and grow within a highly innovative environment.
