Role description
As a Control Room Specialist, you will take charge of coordinating, managing, and monitoring all process-related activities from the centralized Control Room at an aseptic manufacturing site. In this key role, you will lead a team of operators, specialists, and technicians while ensuring adherence to GMP guidelines, safety regulations, and SOPs.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate personnel and production planning with Shift Managers
- Monitor automated processes and adjust workflows as needed
- Authorize production activities based on PMS and weighing results
- Operate and control freeze dryers remotely
- Identify and report deviations or malfunctions, halt processes when needed
- Enforce GMP, safety, and SOP compliance on the shop floor
- Collaborate with QA, QC, and Engineering teams to resolve issues
- Lead and guide operators, cleaners, and technicians functionally
- Manage documentation and batch report generation in the Control Room
- Log incidents in TrackWise, handle MCPS alarms, and assess PMS reports
- Propose process improvements and contribute to cross-functional collaboration
- HBO degree or equivalent in Pharmacy, Chemical Technology, or related field
- Experience with pharmaceutical (aseptic/septic) manufacturing processes
- Strong understanding of GMP, Lean Six Sigma, and production control systems
- Prior experience in a coordinating role within a production environment
- Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English
- Solid planning, analytical, and documentation skills
- Able to lead, train, and collaborate under pressure
