About the Company
Our client is a global pharmaceutical leader with a cutting-edge aseptic production site located in Haarlem. Committed to delivering high-quality medicines, the facility operates under strict GMP and regulatory standards and supports continuous innovation in manufacturing excellence.
About the Position
We are looking for a Control Room Lead to oversee and coordinate all production activities from the site’s central control hub. This is a high-impact role in a 24/7 shift environment, offering the potential for a permanent contract after six months. You’ll ensure seamless operations, lead a multidisciplinary team, and maintain strict adherence to quality, safety, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
-Monitor, control, and optimize automated systems and workflows
-Authorize production steps based on real-time data and analysis
-Manage freeze dryer operations and critical alarms from the Control Room
-Identify and escalate process deviations, halting production when needed
-Support root cause investigations and maintain accurate records
-Provide functional leadership to operators, technicians, and support staff
-Ensure adherence to SOPs, GMP, and safety protocols
-Collaborate with departments like QA, QC, and Engineering to resolve issues and drive improvements
Requirements
-HBO degree in Pharmacy, Chemical Technology, or related field
-Experience in pharmaceutical (aseptic/septic) production environments
-Strong understanding of GMP, quality systems, and process controls
-Proven leadership experience in a production or manufacturing setting
-Familiarity with systems like TrackWise, PMS, MCPS
-Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken)
-Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
-Open to 24/7 shift work
-RTR and PESV certified
