Role Description
As an Inspection Engineer, you will take a leading role in performing and coordinating inspection and maintenance activities across various equipment and units at the site. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and internal quality procedures while supporting technical decision-making and documentation processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead inspection and maintenance activities on pressure equipment, boilers, and other mechanical systems
  • Perform inspections in complex work environments, ensuring compliance with RTOD, PRD, and ASME standards
  • Develop and execute inspection and test plans
  • Analyze inspection results and recommend repair, upgrading, or replacement actions
  • Participating in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and equipment-related investigations
  • Conduct technical training for team members and contractors
  • Coordinate contract inspectors and ensure quality compliance during project execution
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inspection activities
Requirements
  • Valid IKK Level 3 Certificate – IKK Inspection Specialist or Inspection Expert
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in boiler and equipment construction in the (petro)chemical industry
  • Familiarity with RTOD, PRD, and standards such as ASME VIII-1 and ASME B31.3
  • Fluent in Dutch (spoken and written)
  • Strong computer skills
  • Valid VTw2 (Visual Welding Inspection) certificate is a plus
  • VCA Vol certification is mandatory
  • Physically fit and able to work at heights and in confined spaces (no fear of heights or claustrophobia)
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive safety mindset
